Terms of use
Using LocalPDF
LocalPDF is a set of free PDF tools that run entirely in your web browser. You may use them for personal or commercial work, at no cost.
You are responsible for the files you open and the results you save. Keep your own copies: because everything happens on your device, there is no server-side copy to recover if something goes wrong.
No warranty
The tools are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that they will be free of errors, or that a processed file will be free of defects or suitable for any particular purpose.
Your files and your content
Your files stay on your device and are never uploaded, so we never receive them and claim no rights over them.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to open, edit and save the documents you use, and for any signatures, dates or other content you add to them.
Legal effect of signatures
A signature placed with LocalPDF is a simple electronic signature. In many places, including under the US ESIGN Act and the EU’s eIDAS regulation, that is valid for most everyday agreements, but some documents require a certificate-based digital signature or ink on paper instead.
LocalPDF does not provide legal advice, and we cannot tell you whether a given signature will be legally binding for your document. If you are unsure, seek advice from a qualified professional.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the tools, including lost or corrupted files, missed deadlines, or a document that is not accepted because of how it was produced.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the tools do. The date at the top shows when they were last updated, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
